TESTIMONIALS
How has PCT helped you professionally?
“PCT has been instrumental in my professional journey by providing the guidance I needed. When I first arrived on campus, I felt unprepared to make decisions about my major or career path. Joining PCT and participating in the pledgeship process offered me the knowledge and support I was seeking. The wealth of resources, dedicated mentors, and a community of talented individuals committed to my success enabled me to make informed choices about my future. I am proud to be a part of such an incredible organization, and I do not believe that I would be in the same place, professionally, without it.”

How has PCT helped you in adjusting to college life?
“Coming from out of state, I didn't know many people and didn't know where to start looking for new friends. I decided to rush a business fraternity at the last minute and it was the best thing I could have done. PCT gave me the structure and support I needed to adjust to college life and for that, I'm so grateful.”

“I had a really hard time adapting to the academic and social demands of college life, and PCT was key in helping me adjust. PCT's focus on building brotherhood and encouraging academic excellence made coming to a new place much easier, helped me make lifelong friends, and made IU feel like home.”

What is your favorite thing abut PCT?
How can PCT help you grow as a leader?
“In only 2 semesters with PCT, I have been able to go from an active member to an Officer, to 1 of 8 executive board members. I was able to do this because PCT provides countless leadership opportunities and an environment free from judgment or unfair expectations. Whether you want to plan fun social events like formal or boat days, talk one-on-one with our corporate sponsors, or run our social media page, PCT has a role for everybody and a safe space to learn; all you have to do is put yourself forward and PCT can help you become a better leader.”

How does PCT promote diversity, and how have these efforts made you feel welcome and included?
“PCT promotes diversity within the fraternity by putting emphasis on the individuality of every member. Whether it be a matter of ones cultural identity, ideological differences, or unique career path, the members of PCT make an effort to fully support each other and commit to learn from each other's differences. This has made me feel welcomed and included in the fraternity because I feel my identity is respected by those around me and I know everyone in the fraternity is open to getting to learn more about each others backgrounds and experiences, which creates a very open environment.”

“PCT exemplifies diversity by encouraging individuals to express and develop their identities. This is true throughout both the active and alumni base who work to support members as they pursue their respective passions and careers. When I first joined PCT, one of the most striking aspects of the fraternity was people’s enthusiasm to learn about and respect one another despite coming from different backgrounds and cultures. This inclusive environment helped create a community where I feel comfortable to be myself and encourage others to do the same.”

How does PCT give back to its community?
“I’ve seen firsthand how PCT gives back to the community in meaningful ways. This past year, we hosted our first-ever Philanthropy Gala to raise money for Middle Way House, supporting survivors of domestic abuse. We’ve also volunteered at Hilltop Gardens and participated in road cleanups around Bloomington. I’m proud to be a part of a brotherhood that values service, compassion, and making a real impact both on campus and in the broader community.”
